SPM Expands Production Capacity for AI Data Center Power Solutions

SPM Technology Development today announced a significant expansion of its manufacturing facility, aimed at increasing production capacity for high-power generator sets and integrated power systems serving the rapidly growing AI data center sector. The expansion adds approximately 30% more assembly floor space and introduces a dedicated production line for megawatt-class generator sets.

The decision comes in response to a sharp increase in orders from hyperscale data center operators and colocation providers who require reliable backup power systems capable of supporting AI training clusters and inference workloads. Over the past twelve months, SPM has seen inquiry volumes for 2000kW and above units grow by more than 45%, reflecting the broader industry trend toward higher-density computing infrastructure.

"AI workloads are fundamentally changing the power requirements of data centers," said the Director of Operations at SPM. "Our expanded facility allows us to meet this demand with shorter lead times while maintaining the quality and compliance standards our customers depend on. We are investing not just in floor space, but in testing infrastructure, skilled personnel, and supply chain resilience."

The expanded production line is equipped with enhanced load-testing capabilities up to 4000kW, enabling full-load validation of every unit before shipment. SPM has also added automated winding and assembly stations to improve consistency across large-volume orders. The facility upgrade includes additional space for switchgear and ATS integration, allowing SPM to deliver complete, factory-tested power systems as a single package.

With the expansion now operational, SPM expects to increase its annual output of high-power generator sets to over 350 units, with a focus on the 1000kW to 4000kW range that dominates the AI data center market. The company continues to hold full EPA, UL, CE, and ISO certifications, ensuring that all newly produced equipment meets international compliance standards for global deployment.
